Bay CE School
In a time when education on the Isle of Wight has come under such scrutiny and bad press, it is exciting and refreshing to see a good news story emerging. The announcement that the former AET run Sandown Bay Academy is to become the Island’s first ‘all-through school’ under local authority, has been met with positivity from students, teachers and the wider Island community. In fact, this is the first example of a UK school essentially ‘divorcing’ from their academy and opting instead to return to the local authority.
Solent have worked closely with the school during this transition period and have been involved in the rebranding, from the initial name ideas, all the way through to signage and uniform.
Working with the school’s Communications Officer, we have secured positive press coverage both on a local and industry level.
A huge part of a schools image and reputation comes from the communications and the way in which it presents itself to the community. Every school is unique and branding must clearly communicate the ethos and values. Working closely with the senior leadership team, Solent have created a look and feel that encompasses the established reputation of the governing body and gives a nod to the heritage of Sandown Grammar School.
We can’t wait for the next chapter in this exciting journey.
