We moved into our new offices over 18 months ago, but we still had one large bare wall that was crying out for some artwork. We have all manner of artwork here, from original prints relating to Isle of Wight tourism and stunning local photography, to the artwork we commissioned from Island artists that featured in copies of Taste of the Wight.
However, we had nothing of the size needed to fit the space we still had left, that is, until our very own Sophia bought in a piece from her degree project in Contemporary Art Practice. Entitled ‘Craftsmen of the Isle of Wight’ which took a couple of months to complete, it celebrates talent from her hometown and features some of the best known craftspeople on the Island. Coupled with the fact that this piece is massive, it seemed the perfect piece to go in our blank space.
Goodbye white walls, hello lovely individual art!
