Whether is is a clever play on words (Markle and Sparkle from Marks & Spencer is our fave so far) or a limited edition product (SodaStream bottle with tiny wedding hats or crowns, er, yes please!) it can be a really effective way of generating interest and awareness for little investment and output. The journey started in front of a roast chicken so it seems fitting that arguable king of chicken, fast-food giant KFC have launched Kentucky Fine China, a bucket made from fine English bone china, described as “a marriage of English tradition and an American favourite”. Wow.
The three day rebrand from Marks & Spencer is asserting the brands British heritage in a tongue in cheek way. As well as the name change, find roast chicken sandwiches rebranded as ‘the proposal’.
SodaStream have launched limited edition bottles that the publica can bid for, with proceeds going to a Royal couple approved charity. Choose from five fancy hat bottles.
Brands across the pond gearing up for the big day include Dunkin’ Donuts who are introducing a special ‘Royal Love’ heart shaped jam-filled donut; Kellogg’s cereal are hosting early-morning viewing parties in major US cities, where people can fill up on, you’ve guessed it, cereal.
