Solent was appointed by Wightlink in October 2014 to produce its flagship magazine Wightlife. The brief was to make sure Wightlife reflected the value Part of Island Life which is an important element of Wightlink’s brand. “We are very proud to be producing this important and high-profile magazine on the Isle of Wight,” commented director of Solent, Tim Addison. “We have been able to work with several talented local writers and photographers in order to create a fresh new loom that captures the spirit of the Isle of Wight for our summer visitors.”

A digital interactive version of Wightlife is available to download on the Wightlink APP via the Apple App Store, Google Play and Amazon Apps, there is also a totally revamped blog website to accompany the magazine; Wightlife.com that brings the reader more information about the editorial features as well as sharing inspiring content and advertiser news.

“Wightlife is the Isle of Wight’s premier source of information for first-time holidaymakers and regular visitors alike,” explains Wightlink Head of Marketing Mark Persad. Solent will be the first point of contact for anyone interested in advertising in Wightlife, which is also now published in a tablet edition, optimised for most platforms including Apple and Android.

The magazine will be available onboard all ferry services, as well as mainland and Island ticket offices, with extensive distribution across the Isle of Wight. Solent, marketing and communication specialists have been established on the Island since 2005 and work with many major clients on both sides of the Solent.
